Grip Metal technology provides surface modification of metallic materials that dramatically raises heat transfer rate by increasing surface area and acting as a perfect turbulator.
The enhanced surface pattern can be applied on sheet metal (coils or flat sheets) and tubes (including micro-channel extrusions).
Our technology increases surface area by up to 60% when compared to a flat surface of the same footprint; additionally the modified surface operates as a turbulator. These features allow for reduced size and increased output of your heat exchange application.
By using combination of our micro-hooks together with micro-channel technology you can accomplish up to threefold increase in heat transfer rate.
GRIP Metal becomes an upgrade to currently used material in heat exchange applications, requiring minimal changes to existing design and manufacturing process.
Manufacturers of HVAC and refrigeration equipment, energy recovery systems, heat exchangers (shell-and-tube and plate), electronics cooling systems, and energy storage systems would instantly benefit from modifying their existing products using our material.
