GRIP Metal™ Bridge utilizes our Hook Technology with Wood Veneer in multiple layered composite as the base material. Alternating these sheets to build a thick foundation for the bridge base which can then be curved into an arch allowing the bridge to cover a gap while sustaining a load.
Typically the Aluminum selection of GRIP Metal™ with double sided hooks is utilized, providing a strong and corrosion resistant base. These GRIP Metal™ Aluminum sheets then have wood veneer on either side. This composite is then used in layers to build up to the required thickness for the bridge.
The GRIP Metal™ sheets and Wood Veneer structure are spun together with a rolling machine into three layers. These layers are then coiled together to form the bridge with a portable roller and clamp. This process is repeated to build up a significant layer that forms the bridge. The edges are held down and supported in order to form the curved shape.
